Chirk Golf Club

Chirk Golf  Club has been designed to offer outstanding championship-standard facilities in idyllic rural setting. Overlooked by the National Trust's Chirk Castle, it features two superb courses set in 200 acres of rural countryside. Small wonder these outstanding facilities have been called the region's best kept sporting secret.

Its par 3, 9 hole  course has proved a particular favourite with less experienced players. Meanwhile the 18 hole championship course is designed to challenge everyone from the novice to the seasoned expert. Blending with the area's natural beauty, it is characterised by testing fairway bunkers and water hazards including lakes and streams. Playing its 9th hole is a truly remarkable golfing experience. At 664 yards, this fearsome par 5 is one of the longest holes in Europe.

Societies' Seal of Approval

Visiting golfers are made especially welcome at Chirk Golf  Club. Already golf societies from throughout North Wales and the Border counties - and others from even further afield - have given their seal of approval to this exciting new development.

The Championship course has won acclaim for its fairness and flexibility, which can play as short as 5,757 yards or, for the really ambitious, as long as 7,281 yards.

Polishing Your Game

Superb facilities offer everything you need to polish your game to perfection. The club's floodlit driving range, with 15 spacious undercover bays and a practice bunker, is open from 8am until late evening. It is ideal for warming up before a game or ironing out faults after your round. Our experienced and highly qualified PGA staff are always on hand to offer advice and guidance, no matter what your standard.

They will also help you make the right purchases from our fully stocked golf shop. Trolleys and buggies can also be hired together with clubs for the par 3 course and driving range. 

First Class Club House

There is simply no better place to relax after your round than in the convivial setting of our clubhouse, its terrace overlooking the golf course and Chirk Marina. As well as fully equipped changing rooms, it features a large spike bar and a restaurant for 60 people offering snacks and meals throughout the day and evening.
